Pretty normally, I was stressed out not only because of the exam but also because this test center unlike my other exam centers for other exams wasn’t a university. However, right off the bat, at the entrance, I was greeted in such a sweat and welcoming manner I legit forgot I was stressed and that I even had an exam. The proctor so compassionately guided me through every single step (even physically) including putting away my bag, seating me close to the heater to prevent me from feeling too cold, helping me get my headset on, checking in on me during the test and even submitting my test after it was done. These seemingly tiny actions made an incomparable difference. She made me feel the warmth of my own mother thousands of miles away from her. I know it sounds weird because no one likes exam centers but I didn’t want to leave that place as I’ve been dealing with lots of document issues which are really odd for student visas but until they’re solved I know I can’t meet my family. I was reluctant when choosing this center but turns out it was the best thing I could have done. I’m really thankful to that proctor from the very depths of my heart.
